About Us

From WA to AL
Where We Started

Hello! We are the Hart family. We recently moved to the Prattville area from Washington State, just west of Seattle, from a town called Bremerton.

There really is nothing like southern hospitality.

Our first experience with the River Region was in October of 2019.  While visiting some friends, Bri and Lucas Jr. were blown away by the culture, the people and the small-town charm. Upon returning to Washington, they couldn’t stop talking about the wonderful impression that Alabama had made on them during their stay. So, in August of 2020, our whole family set out for a visit, and we came to a unanimous conclusion: there really is nothing like Southern hospitality! We knew our “Harts” were forever captured by Sweet Home Alabama.

Later in 2020 we felt the Lord say, “MOVE”. At first, we didn’t quite know what that meant, but the Lord quickly made it very clear. Considering that the kids were already in online school due to Covid, we flew to Alabama and started looking at houses.  Within two months we were packed up, had put our house on the market, and were on our way. Through it all, Isaiah 6:8 kept coming to mind:

“Hear I am Lord, send me”.

We were inspired by those words, and since then our entire family has felt confirmation that this is the place for us.

Authentic Tradition

Jesus + ♥ + Coffee

Our Philosophy

Starting Something New

Arriving here, we quickly learned that one thing here is much different than in Washington. There were next to no drive thru coffee stands! In Washington, there seemed to be one on every corner, and they are all thriving! Being fully in love with our new community we felt the call to give back to this community by providing something that we have a great passion for; coffee! As we searched for a great location to invest in our community, we quickly felt Millbrook was perfect as our kids attend school in town and have many friends in the area.

Our hope and prayer is that every day, except Sunday, we can:

  • Serve our community while making new relationship

  • Create a family-focused business

  • Provide some “caffeine & Jesus” with every cup

  • Support our local community through fundraisers and community events

Thank you. Thank you for being a community that loves Jesus, that has loved and  supported us through this process and most importantly, has already, in so many ways shown up for and loved our kids. We look forward to being here for a very long time and we hope to see you at the window.

With much love and appreciation,
The Hart Family – Lucas, Bri, Rēagan & Lucas Jr.
